Stefan,

exactly THERE is the problem: only one task can lock the DB.

Try the following:
Have your en-Updater do some huge updates (just wait for the next
openoffice...)
The zen-updater is locking the database (so far ok).

Then you open a shell and try to install a new program (like I did in my first
post using rug in mc)
The task failes, telling the another task is running (the update).
Even this is PERFECT like this. That's What I expect.

But THEN: you just start again 'rug in mc' and THERE is the problem now: it
does NOT say anymore, another task would be running and continues to install
the program. (zen-updater is still busy at this time)

So I would stay there IS a problem somewhere, no???

If you really don't agree, ok.. go for it and close it again. I won't reopen,
promised. I mean I can live with it and most users probably believe what they
read. I might have done the error not just to believe it.
