https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217403 Summary: yast2-vm acquires package from the wrong install source Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: carnold@novell.com ReportedBy: jdouglas@novell.com QAContact: jdouglas@novell.com CC: lbendixs@novell.com On openSUSE 10.2 Beta 1, I installed a paravirtualized SLES 10 VM via the network using a custom URL (ftp://151.155.190.80/install/sles10/i386). I then attempted to install a paravirtualized openSUSE 10.2 Beta 1 plus VM via the network also using a custom URL (ftp://151.155.190.90/install/os10.2b1p/i386). However, the installation failed to install because the kernel that was extracted by yast2-vm was the SLES 10 kernel (instead of the openSUSE 10.2 version). In /var/log/YaST2/y2log, it appears as though both install sources are still active and available: <snip> 2006-11-02 09:48:08 <0> xen51(5453) [zypp::SourceManager] SourceManager.cc(sourceTableRemove):99 - Source[4|YaST|20061101-150605]{ftp://151.155.190.80/install/sles10/i386(/); autorefresh: 1; enabled: 1} 2006-11-02 09:48:08 <0> xen51(5453) [zypp::SourceManager] SourceManager.cc(sourceTableRemove):99 - Source[5|YaST|20061102-094249]{ftp://151.155.190.80/install/os10.2b1p/i386(/); autorefresh: 1; enabled: 1} </snip> yast2-vm needs to ensure that old installation sources are not used. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
