https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216204 Summary: Problems with changing CD media using USB CD device Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rompi@post.cz QAContact: jsrain@novell.com If 10.2 beta 1 is installed from CD using DVD-ROM connected to USB, it is not possible to eject the media when the instalator asks for it (DVD-ROM is locked). If I click on the Eject button in the Yast dialog, the whole installation crashes. It is possible to eject it using eject command from a text console, however if a new CD is inserted and I want to go on with the installation, the instalator says it is not the desired media (i.e. it wants CD 2, I manage somehow to put it into the DVD-ROM, but it then says it is not the proper CD 2, although it truly is (or at least it was created from the original image and is readable if I mount it on this computer). I am not sure if the second problem (invalid media) is linked with the first one (cannot eject). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
