Summary: postfix-2.3 SASL doesn't work
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Alpha 5
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: SuSE Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Basesystem
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: Daniel.Stoinski@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx

I'm always getting the error message in postfix:

unsupported SASL client implementation: cyrus

event if configured with smtp_sasl_type = cyrus.

postconf -A doesn't show any plugins.
postfix was probably not properly compiled. Please see also
http://listi.jpberlin.de/pipermail/postfixbuch-users/2005-December/021734.html

"The Postfix-with-Cyrus-SASL build procedure has changed. You now
need to specify -DUSE_CYRUS_SASL in addition to -DUSE_SASL_AUTH or
else you end up without any Cyrus SASL support. The error messages
are:

unsupported SASL server implementation: cyrus
unsupported SASL client implementation: cyrus"

The same postfix configuration (main.cf etc.) worked correctly on OpenSuSE 10.1
using previos version of postfix.

Sincerelly
Daniel Stoinski
