Summary: Wrong driver for Linksys WUSB54G (V4) adapter.
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Alpha 5
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: SuSE Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Kernel
AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: mcphrsp@xxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx

My system contains the following:
AMD Athlon 64 dual-core 3800+
Asus A8N32-SLI-Deluxe mobo
Linksys WUSB54G (V4) usb wifi adapter.

OpenSUSE 10.2 Alpha 5 installation detected the adapter correctly but installed
the rt2500usb driver and offered wlan0 and wmaster0 interfaces. I can't make
any of this work.

If I rmmod the rt2500usb and install serialmonkey rt2570
(rt2570-1.1.0-b2.tar.gz), this works well and gives me rausb0 interface which
is the setup I am successfully using with SUSE 10.0.

Just as a matter of interest, my mobo is being detected as an ASUS K8N4-E and
not the A8N32. I do not have enough knowledge to say whether this is part of
the problem or not - should it be a separate bug report?
