ASUS P3B-F (ACPI BIOS rev. 1006) it is the ATX motherboard.

When I run Windows and press power-off button the system gently shutdowns the
system.
The same for Slax 5.1.7b (used as a test system).

I could be wrong but I worked on this computer with SuSE 9.1 and it behaved
just like described.

However, now, with OpenSUSE 10.0 when I press power-off button the machine is
immediately off -- if I accidentally pressed it all my work would gone!
