I just did a test installation with the lasts yast2 wizzard stuff and found the
colors of the welcome screen and the background to mismatch quite a bit. I'll
attach a screenshot of the yast2 welcome screen -- unfortunately the screenshot
functionallity of yast only captures the yast window, so you can't see the
wizzard background image there.

Is the background image supposed to match the boot splash graphics? That would
be very nice ;)
