You don't need special privileges to use USB devices, but you need special
privileges to call methodes and interfaces vi DBUS.
Btw. If you update 10.1 with all available updates there should be no
difference between the HAL and DBUS configuration and source code. Maybe
something is missconfigured.
If you tested this with SLED10 does it mean you use SLED10 now? Is the problem
fixed for you with this?
