[Bug 207112] xmset stalls for four minutes during the installation

Ok, that confirms that it hangs inside the video BIOS code, which I really
can't do anything about. I will make the cpu emulation the default, however,
as the interpreter has some workarounds added to catch such situations.
I can't shorten the timeout, though, because some hardware really does need
that long. So that 1 minute delay will stay, unfortunately.
You can use hwprobe=-bios.vesa (as boot option) to skip all this.
