https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=204376 ------- Comment #17 from dgallion@techconnectga.com 2006-09-20 09:52 MST ------- Sorry if I was not clear: "With KDE 133622 fix, Konqueror shows all partitions from fstab (exluding swap). If fstab has user option, mountable in Konqueror; else not. However, all partitions, incl w/o user option, mountable from Konsole." Test case is two ext3 partitions, in fstab the first has noauto,acl,user_xattr and second has noauto,user,acl,user_xattr. Second partition displays and mounts in Konqueror running as user. First partition is displayed but will not mount in Konqueror even if running as root, "permissions denied" error. Partition will mount from Konsole running as root (i.e., #mount /dev/hde3). I suspect this is the intended behavior, i.e., noauto partitions shown but not mountable from Konqueror even by root, although mountable from Konsole (?). However, without KDE 133622 fix, noauto partitions are not displayed in Konqueror at all - whether fstab has user option or not - so obviously cannot be mounted from there by anyone - but again, still can be mounted from Konsole as root using mount command above; and note that, if mounted, will still not be displayed by Konqueror. This is the basic problem, i.e., that a noauto partition even with the user option is not seen by Konqueror, mounted or not. Perhaps I should add that I did test upgrade KDE to 3.5.4-63.2 and behavior was the same as 3.5.1-69.29 and 3.5.1-69.32. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
