To test the openipmigui new in 2.0.7 I compiled the package on openSUSE 10.2
Alpha4, in case this matters (a build on an older platform shows the same
behaviour)

openipmigui starts up, I can enter IP address, port, user name and password,
but after clicking the Ok button, the GUI freezes, and doesn't refresh any
more.

strace shows it hangs in a 
futex(0x66c120, FUTEX_WAIT, 0, NULL <unfinished ...>

tcpdump shows the LAN communication works, messages to the BMC address are
replied to.
