Do you remember how you changed the default in /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config in the
past?
[ ] by setting DISPLAYMANAGER_REMOTE_ACCESS="yes"
[ ] by editing it xdm-config manually
I'm trying to reproduce this problem. Therefore I need some more informations.
