https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=177050 ------- Comment #12 from VladCodrea@mail.utexas.edu 2006-09-17 15:39 MST ------- Bad News. Turning off DMA as mentioned in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=177050#c11>comment #11</a> results in wrong md5sums for some files on the CD. Eventually the drive freezes. The CD is definitely good since md5sum works on my other computer. If I add "TORiSAN DVD-ROM DRD-N216" to ata_dma_blacklist[] on line 2990 of drivers/ata/libata-core.c and then run md5sum, I get the following lines in dmesg: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=8820&action=view>http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=8820&action=view</a> -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
