I have configured kdm to automatically log in a certain user (using the
"Anmeldungsmanager" part of "Kontrollzentrum", as root).

I update KDE regularly automatically through
http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/

Whenever there are major KDE updates, my settings are lost.
