I think this has been discussed before:

It seems to me that you might need a restart block to do the correct thing
with timeouts and so on... however I'm not sure that we even want to go down
this road unless we can get the change upstream too.
So unless there is a good reason to change behaviour, we probably shouldn't.
If there is, then we should probably get it changed upstream first.
