Ok, this is *not* a kernel issue. Sigh. Would have been simple.
You only get a single mouse event from the kernel.
As soon as time permits I will create a mouse driver for you with debugging
output (I have to hand-craft that) so we can track down this issue. This seems
pretty odd, and I couldn't reproduce this here.
