- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx
- Date: Fri, 8 Sep 2006 01:01:04 -0600 (MDT)
- Message-id: <bug-204362-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=204362
Summary: YaST ldap-client misses to add +-Line to /etc/shadow
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Alpha 4
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: jsuchome@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: rhafer@xxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
CC: kukuk@xxxxxxxxxx
When setting up an LDAP client with YaST it should add the line:
+::::::::
to /etc/shadow. Otherwise the shadow functions like getspnam() will not work
against LDAP Users this will e.g. result in strange error messages from
pam_unix2.
NIS Clients might need the same. Thorsten?
