Egbert's Week 42
================

- openFATE project:
* Added caching of queried notification status of users/actors
* discussed changes to openFATE done last week with Tom
* implemented changes suggested by Tom
* Revamped query to notify.o.o to query several users at once.
* Added some infrastructure to validate user information if a
user is added as an actor to a Fate entry.

The code to fetch the notification state of single users is online now and
working fine.
See https://features.opensuse.org/preview/
What we still need is a method in the hermes api to query multiple users at
once to
speed up things. I think it would be nice to have the same url just with multiple
&username=
values.

Another thing we need to talk about is getting the emails of involved users
included in the
feature (currently filtered by the proxy due to privacy reasons). This is
needed to show all
Novell users as subscribed to feature changes as they receive the internal
notification anyway.

Greetings

- Created slides for talk on 'Change in Paradigms of the graphics
Driver Stack'.
- Met with the other Boosters to discuss how to improve the visibility
of what the team is doing and how to better organize our sprints.
- Attended openSUSE conference.
- Dealt with L3 ticket BNC#637126: instructed support what to install
to verify that a fix for BNC#635177 actually also addresses this
defect.
