OS 11.1 Update state as of 2009/11/16 has version yast2-printer-2.17.48-2.5 which does not allow to configure the printer.
BTW: Can I use the profile section from OS 10.3 installation since there the printer can be configured for autoyast.

Hello Hajo, as Henrik Schmidt mentioned in his mail from 7.1.09 http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-autoinstall/2009-01/msg00032.html config settings from 10.3 unfortunately don't work. I experienced this too in april 2009 (posted also on the mailing list).
