I don't see any sense in changing the partition id of an existing
partition if AY isn't told to change it or (re)create the partition.

have you tried to use the
<partition_id config:type="integer">7</partition_id>
element?
No, because not all our Windows partitions have type 7, so I just
left that out and AY so far never touched them.
