thanks for the fast response.

after upgrading the schema package, i tried to validate my profile, 
which failed. then i created a fresh test profile from yast :
(lines might break badly, so i inserted extra linebreaks between them)

/usr/bin/xmllint --noout --relaxng 
/usr/share/YaST2/schema/autoyast/rng/profile.rng 
/var/lib/autoinstall/repository/test.xml

/var/lib/autoinstall/repository/test.xml:4: element bootloader: Relax-NG 
validity error : Element profile has extra content: bootloader

/var/lib/autoinstall/repository/test.xml fails to validate
