Teun, I had the exact same question. In fact, that's why I subscribed
to the list. I dug around in the source, and the only answers I was
able to find where "no" and "no". My solution was to write my own YCP
program. It took a lot of "reverse engineering" of the dirinstall and
related code, but it is possible to write a short snippet of YCP code
that sets the install directory, adds specific packages, and then kicks
off the dirinstall. I haven't done too much with it (I just got it
working yesterday), but it seems to work well enough.

Any chance you could be so kind as to post this code? I'm looking to do something similar with SLES10. (I was hoping that dirinstall+autoyast would be an available option)
