any reason why you want to use mini instead of the first cd ? in case 
you intend to move to sles10, note that it does not have a mini cd anyway.

i was able to get 10.1 autoinstallation working with mini cd - but that 
was on x86.
anyway, if the first cd works for you, i'd suggest using that
