Hi! Problem solved: The additional kernel parameter "instmode=cd" together with "autoyast=floppy" was the key, everything works now. Regards, Stefan Pfeiffer Stefan Pfeiffer wrote:
Hi!
I tried an autoinstall with an autoinst.xml on a floppy and the Suse 10.0 (retail version) installation DVD, like outlined in the 7.3.2. section of the autoyast documentation "Auto-installing a Single System".
When booting, the floppy gets accessed, but the logging console says "You must supply a control file", or something similar (I do not have the machine right here now where i can write mails). Yast also says that it cannot find a control file.
I tried no special kernel paramater, but also "autoyast=default" und "autoyast=floppy" without success. The xml control file is named autoinst.xml and is placed in the root of the floppy.
I must have overlooked a silly little detail...
Thanks for any help... Regards, Stefan Pfeiffer
