Hi Uwe, From the y2log file, here are the relevant extracts: - linux(848) [YCP] ProfileLocation.ycp:46 Path to remote control file: /autoinst.xml - linux(848) [YCP] ProfileLocation.ycp:57 File=autoinst.xml - linux(848) [agent-curl] CurlAgent.cc(Execute):209 Data: - linux(848) [agent-curl] CurlAgent.cc(Execute):210 Output: /tmp/YaST2-00848-NyJQkb/autoinst.xml - linux(848) [YCP] autoinstall/io.ycp:83 Can't find URL: ftp://192.168.0.195/autoinst.xml The funny thing is that when I look into the file obtained by curl, /tmp/YaST2-00848-NyJQkb/autoinst.xml, it is the autoinst.xml that resides in the FTP server. When I click on Retry on the popup window, the log shows this new entry. - linux(848) [YCP] Autoinstconfig.ycp:214 urltok = $["fragment":"","host":"192.168.0.195","pass":"","path":"/autoinst.xml","port":"","query":"","scheme":"ftp","user":""] I repeat the procedure by using ftp://anonymous:password@192.168.0.195:21/autoinst.xml which helps to populate the values into the "port", "user" and "pass" parameters, but to no avail. Curl can get the file but the ycp scripts keep saying it can't find! Do you know what is happening here? Many thanks in advance. Uwe Gansert wrote:

Does anyone have a clue what happened?
do CTRL+ALT+F2 and look into /var/log/YaST2/y2log search for autoinst.xml and maybe you'll see what's going wrong there.
