Hello, I use SLES 9 - SP1 and I have found that with yast2 I could install suse in a directory (Yast -> Software -> Installation to a directory) and then make an image wich seems to be a gzip file. My questions: Is anybody know how this image can be usefull
I think the idea behind the image is a faster installation by distributing the image via flamethrower/udpcast. I never tried it on my own though and AFAIK it's an undocumented, not so official feature. -- ciao, Uwe Gansert Uwe Gansert, Server Technologies Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstrasse 5, D-90409 Nürnberg, Germany e-mail: uwe.gansert@suse.de, Tel: +49-(0)911-74053-0, Fax: +49-(0)911-74053-476, Web: http://www.suse.de
