I do not want to disappoint you, but I think you subscribed to the wrong
mailing-list. This list deals with automatic installation procedures of
SuSE Linux and its deriavates.

This is just a quick hint from me for now:
If you have a /home on a single partition, in your scenario you should
be ok with formatting all other partitions leaving that one alone.
