No, CVS is not integrated autoyast2. You can always use CVS to manage your control
files though and in some cases it is recommended. But we left this choice to the user.
As you will see in the documentation, the control file has changed
format and now use XML instead. This allows us to include much more
information as with plain key/value files.
A small portion of the old 'info' file might still be needed to initiate
the installation and tell Linuxrc where the installation server is etc.,
but this is going to disappear hopfully in the next release.
Now you can add all the Keywords we used to have in the 'info' file to
the kernel command line, which can be handy if you dont want to use a
special file just to tell linuxrc where is the server dir for example.
something like this is possible now:
autoyast=http://192.168.1.1/profiles/ install=nfs://192.168.1.1/<dir>
which will install over NFS and retrieve the control file from a http
server.
But for more info, consult the pre-release documentation at
http://www.suse.de/~nashif/autoinstall/
