I didn't saw all that hidden meanings that Bryen saw in "time to grow" It's sounds to me like Rajko said: join us and let's grow together!! ;) in a inclusive way.
For me "time to grow" in context of your banner is extraordinary well integrated catch phrase. None of changes is nearly as good in attempt to wake up curiosity to see what is that openSUSE and how it will grow now. It is actually so good that next versions of openSUSE can use: time to shine time to grow again time for retrospection and so on. It is so good that marketing materials can use "time to", or "time for" in a lot of different situations: time to/for GSoC time to/for FOSDEM etc. Hidden meanings that one person see and other not, are often due to environment and current state of our mind. Different social groups and geographic regions, have specific ways to express themselves. They often use the same words in the same language, but in a different context, so single word, or phrase, can have different default meaning. Example is word kill, that universally means something bad, but in Unix you kill programs and daemons all the time, without remorse. (Unless you find out that you killed the wrong one :) Sometimes it is just first impression that can be influenced with reading something else prior to your post. Example is this page with a Rat-Man picture: http://www.intropsych.com/ch07_cognition/top-down_and_bottom-up_processing.h... and there is explanation how it works. It could be Bryen's impression that artists are like children, and telling a child that is "time to grow" is more often used to tell that life is not always as we want it to be. It is patrons speak to protegee, which is, in case that we consider ourselves equal, at least annoying, if not outright insulting. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
