We just need to define the new one. I am going to prepare a few templates using the fonts that have been suggested, so it might be easier to decide on a specifc one.

Just think to have templates in real foreign language like Russian, Greek the two main chinese, korean Japan and Australian :-)
So then the replacement would be really able to be used everywhere for everything
I had a look at the proposed fonts and I am afraid that most of them are just supporting Latin-1/Latin-2 characters. Only the last one seems to support Cyrillic characters. I agree with Bruno that if the font is going to be replaced it has to be ensured that we can support all foreign languages with it. Otherwise why to replace the current one ? But for what will this font be used ? As default font within openSUSE (Gnome/KDE/LXDE/.. desktops) ?
