No need to have a huff about it, matter not ended. I'm not the leader
of the group either and my opinion is just that, an opinion, in no way
final.

Go ahead and organize a meeting if you wish, I'll do my best to be
there if I can. But if I can't, it'd be nice to be able to have input
through other means and not be excluded from the decision making
process. As an Australian I'm usually the only one in this timezone
and meetings tend to be at very inconventient times for me, because
the majority of participants are in Europe and America.

Achieveing a consensus means that very often people will strongly
express contrary views to one's own. Then we discuss and find a
compromise that suits as many as possible.
