Jos, A all-in-one message covering several issues: 1. The GNOME meeting I mentioned previously was about the shell/GTK3 theme, not wallpaper. As most people know we were asked to use official upstream branding (like other distros) which we did, in fact we were the only ones doing it through Frederic's live CD. Even Fedora worked out the raw upstream wallpaper ;). I'm happy we did followed what GNOME asked for. 2. The wallpaper was not contemplated on that meeting. The wallpaper is the most visible part on any running Desktop, as such it should be given much more attention than it was in the previous cycle (Celadon). 3. About a previous reply to Helen: I know Coolo is responsible for the distro release, but it would be probably be better if we could get something moving. 4. Artwork Team status: I'm not even sure if we have a Artwork Team here... several people consider we don't have one... I'm not sure why no one asked to lead it. Maybe you can find someone who would like to inject some life force in this, I would hate to see this team vanish into thin air. 5. Modifications on GNOME side: No one objected having 3rd party themes, but they need to be maintained and upstreamed. Whoever modifies it needs to maintain it. We will provide packaging and help on technical issues, but if some changes happen in the future and the theme becomes un-usable, we can't do much with a broken theme can we? (this is about shell/GTK themes). For all the rest, I would kindly ask you, since you have projection and your voice is heard to look deeper into the wallpaper issue and about the Artwork team. We shouldn't allow it to vanish or to die... NM -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org
