My intention, which I didn't follow through with due to other commitments, was to ask Coolo if he had any particular vision for 12.1, and from there to brainstorm with the art team.
Why Coolo? Not that I have nothing against the dude... but if you said Robert Lihm.... I would understand... but an Engineering God deciding a Artwork ?
Alternatively it could be good to brainstorm a bunch of stuff first up.
I'm looking forward to see your artwork submission and not just the crazy talk.
Personally, I enjoyed the industrial look of 11.4 - it's a pity that being a little bit 'last minute' we weren't able to do more with it.
Dig up the forums... it's not important what you think or what I think... it's important what THEY (the users) think....
Any contributions will not be wasted - even if work doesn't fit with the primary theme of the release, it's great to provide users with alternatives.
11.4 was no nice that Vincent Untz had to dig up a few wallpapers with Steiner! Lets make sure that won't happen again and that this time we have a process working.
How do you guys feel about aesthetic styles right now?
