I would use the black theme as default for the next suse release. Green +
Black really looks slick, professional and original.
I am new here but have experience with design and want to help out.
I saw the black theme in SUSE on random sites. Is it one of the the KDE
themes or did someone customly develop it?
Can we use it as a template to work on for the upcoming KDE4 release?

I vote for that one too. Maybe changing to another KDE4-theme (black one) so
there is more contrast at the desktop. Let's not change too much now openSUSE
11.0 seems to be a blast outside.
Maybe we can use the same 'theme-structure' in all decimals of a number. So
11.0 - 11.3 have a bit of the same look. Another option is to switch to some
more photorealistic theme. I will never forget this one:

I really think we should stick with the SUSE green and Gray like openSUSE
11.0, why ruin a good thing, lets just make it better. Maybe add more
contrasts to the colors so they are more eye poping, and the same goes with
KDE4 you could really see a difference using the sharpen effect with Kwin4
effects turned on. ;) my .02 cent -Cameron

I do personally like the theme you created, I don't know how I would
like it for day-to-day work. But that's just my opinion.
Thanks! I somewhat agree that I'm not sure I'd use it everyday in its
current incarnation. The first picture I posted (concept.png) doesn't
necessarily match the openSUSE colors used on the wiki, the installer,
etc. Yet the pallet isn't as bright and jarring. Personally I prefer
the first one, but I've been trying to create something that matches
the branding of openSUSE better that is at the same time livable.
Of the concepts, do people prefer the first one, or one of the latter
two? They represent very different directions to go in.
As far as minor details I've been waffling a bit with having the
highlighted/selected text as gold on green. I like gold as a
highlight color. In the concepts you can see me using gold as a
highlight, and in other places just using plain white. What do you
guys think about the use of a little spot gold for highlight?
Lastly, what do you guys think about the off-white selected background
color? Do you prefer just a plain white?
Thanks for your feedback and input!
