Hello everyone!
I was wondering if SUSE could reprise something used a few years back in the GNOME desktop. I seem to remember (and correct me if I'm wrong) that in 9.3 or around that time, there was the SUSE Geeko's head where the rotating circles are now in the Nautilus window. When active, the circles went around the head like they do on the 10.2 bootsplash.
Also, instead of the little computer icon on the main menu, that could be replaced with the lizard head? Like it was in 10.0?
I've just become alarmed at the fact that the lizard is almost nowhere to be found in 10.3 GNOME except at the login screen and the updater.
Hi Kevin,
I didn't realize I mailed form the wrong account, so sorry if you're
getting a duplicate.
Having two lizard heads on the panel is a bit too much for my taste. Too
much branding is just as bad as too little.
In any case it's an ideal time to start experimenting with ideas for
openSUSE 11. All the artists subscribed to the channel feel free to post
links to concept art. I don't think it's necessary to limit the scope or
assemble the art on the wiki. Personally I find the number 11 appealing
in shape and worth experimenting to base a whole visual theme around it,
but it would benefit to leave room for the openSUSE artist community to
brainstorm.
cheers
