Maybe this belongs in bugzilla. But since this list hasn't been announced yet
I'm not completely sure what's on topic and what isn't ;-)
I have a framebuffer problem when using the nvidia blob, which means I either
have to change vga mode to lower colour depth+resolution which means I don't
get a bootsplash or have the virtual consoles (Ctrl+Alt+F1-F6) be useless.
I have tried to change the colour depth for the provided bootsplash to 256
colours but I still can't get it to work. Probably something wrong with me
since I'm a graphics no-good.
I believe the problem is quite common, hence the existance of this wiki page:
http://en.opensuse.org/NVidia_framebuffer_console_HOWTO
So I wonder if we could provide official bootsplash themes that work with
something like 800x600@256 colours (0x303). Alongside the higher quality ones
of course.
