Hi everyone,
I am the one maintaining the cubox-i port, and I can say that all 13.1
and 13.2 images work.
For 13.1 I was working on hardware-accelerated OpenGL-ES and video
decoding, and it was partly working (not well though). On 13.2 these
features are however not present yet. I am waiting for a gpu-driver
update on the kernel-side that will allow using more recent binary
blobs. Then I am confident video-decoding using gstreamer, and
accelerated opengl-es will be working well!
However, device-support is in contrib-state. That means the images use
a downstream kernel, and downstream u-boot provided by solidrun, and
hardware-acceleration will always rely on proprietary blobs.
If you want to know more, check this forum thread about opensuse on
the cubox-i; it is where I usually post first if I make any
enhancements: http://www.solid-run.com/community/topic1215.html
Yours sincerely
Josua Mayer

Did anybody try the openSUSE 13.2 cuboxi image on any CuBox versions? If so, any idea what is the state of them, are they working, broken, etc?
I'm asking as I plan to order (probably) a CuBox-i2eX and plan to run openSUSE on it, but I thought better to ask what's the experience with it before going ahead. :-)
I believe Raymund got 13.2 to work on the Cubox-i during last Hackweek (Interstellar). Hopefully that also means the JeOS image works. :)
