Ok, I dumped the efika image on a 2 GB SD card and inserted it for booting, but the smartbook still boots the installed system (Genesi/ubuntu). As recommended by Andreas, I tried to replace the kernel with the genesi kernel--but it still fails (I probably replaced to many files).
