[opensuse-arm] Re: [opensuse-factory] GCC 4.7

Hi everybody,

Just a heads-up this time: This morning, GCC 4.7 was switched to be
the default compiler in Factory.
AS far as we're concerned, most packages should be fixed by now (at
least in their devel projects). So if you see package failures due to
this, please make sure to sync your devel projects up.

There is a small amount of packages that is still failing, and there
is a possibility that we (the informal team of hackers fixing GCC 4.7
fallouts) missed some packages.

If so, please feel free to

a) Check with upstreams for a fix... most maintained things are fixed
by now (Fedora to the thanks here)
b) Fix the package (most of the time it's missing includes and the like
c) ping us here and/or IRC for assistance. As with all other packages,
we'll try to help to resolve the build failures.

Looking forward to a full build of Factory!

I assume and hope that openSUSE:Factory:ARM and is also using gcc47 as
the default compiler.

Dominique

Joop.
