Yeah, good point. We already use SPL for the Panda, but somehow didn't manage 
to get the OMAP3 x-loader also based on it. I honestly don't remember why.

But given the new issues, we probably should give it another try :). I'll try 
to hack on this in a spare minute. Or if anyone else wants to pick it up, 
please check the u-boot-omap4panda package in openSUSE:Factory:ARM on how it's 
done for OMAP4 :).
