SUSE Linux 10.1 Alpha4 is ready, since our mirrors are still syncing
(we had some blocker bugs to fix and were rather late), I've only
uploaded the torrent files to ftp.opensuse.org.  Everything else will
go online at 11am UTC on friday.

New significant changes in 10.1 Alpha4 since 10.1 Alpha3:

* Further integration of NetworkManager (note: NetworkManager is on by
  default on NLD/SUSE Linux and off on SLES)

* Updates to all parts of the system, especially new bash version
  (3.1), new Linux kernel (2.6.15 rc5), KDE 3.5 final, GNOME 2.12.2,
  X.Org 6.9 rc3.

Known CRITICAL issues:

*  The first time a user logs in on the console, an error is
   reported. A second login works.

* The graphical login does not work. Workaround: Login on the console
  and change /etc/X11/xdm/Xession as follows:

* The distribution identifies itself as "10.0.42 Alpha4" - and has in
  quite a lot places the 10.0 branding.  This is a known feature;-)

* Internet test will not work since downloading to patches is not
  setup.

Note: Alpha4 will be followed by Beta in four weeks, Alpha4 is not
supported and we advice to not use it on production systems.
