Hi "Chip5", Which main board do you have? As I don't know which main board you have you might have 2 SATA controllers. Which SATA controller are you using for raid. Or do you have a raid card installed, if so which brand/model? I think this issue related to raid. Regards, Joop. On Wed, April 11, 2012 10:17 am, Chip5 - wrote:
I am installing from a full DVD obtained at the recent Los Angeles Linux Conference/Expo.I haven't yet found the chipset that is being used in the system. The disk works successfully on my older AMD Athlon.
1) When system is started, the green openSUSE "Welcome" screen appears, followed by the openSUSE Installation choices menu screen. When the Install option is chosen, system displays a window showing Loading Linux Kernel (with an increasing % progress line).
3) Instead of the expected License Agreement and Language screen, the system displays AMIBIOS information including hardware test details, RAID details, "ISOLINUX 4.04 ...",then goes back to the openSUSE Welcome screen. System repeats this tight loop until I choose Install from hard disk option from the openSUSE installation choices menu screen. System then loads Win7.
