Hey all... I just bought a used Palm Treo 650 device so I could sync my Evolution calendar/contacts outside of the house. Unfortunately, I'm having quite a bit of trouble getting the Treo to show up as a device. Normally, when the HotSync button is pressed, the Treo should show up as /dev/pilot [as configured by /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules/ by default in opensuse 10.1]. Whenever I attempt to perform a hotsync operation, I get the following errors : [dmesg]: Nov 24 17:58:01 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 20 Nov 24 17:58:01 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: device descriptor read/64, error -110 Nov 24 17:58:01 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: device descriptor read/64, error -110 Nov 24 17:58:01 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 21 Nov 24 17:58:01 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: device descriptor read/64, error -110 Nov 24 17:58:02 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: device descriptor read/64, error -110 Nov 24 17:58:02 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 22 Nov 24 17:58:02 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: device not accepting address 22, error -110 Nov 24 17:58:02 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 23 Nov 24 17:58:03 e521 kernel: usb 2-5: device not accepting address 23, error -110 The syslog messages are identical to the above. I've loaded the `visor` kernel module with success [ie, no errors in dmesg or syslog]. Does anyone have any clue what's going on with the USB hub driver? Googling the `error -110` doesn't turn up anything useful. System details: opensuse 10.1 x86_64 running on Dell e521 kernel 2.6.26.13-4-smp Any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers john --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-amd64+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-amd64+help@opensuse.org
