Hi,
I bought a new hard drive and connected it to my laptop through usb
interface. suse is detecting the new hard drive and identifying it as
USB mass storage, but it is not able to mount the device. I ran the
dmesg command and captured the error messages and is in the attached
file. I noticed this following error in the error message: "unable to
read partition table". I haven't faced any problems with this hard
drive in Windows vista. Initially i partitioned this hard drive in
windows and then tried using it in linux. since it is giving problems
i thought there would be problems with the formatting, so i deleted
the partitions in windows and tried using it again as a new device.
But it is of no use, the same error persists. Anyone have any idea
about this error. Please help me fix this problem.

Thanks & Regards,
madhan.
