Alright, https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=297565 has been
solved already, and I'm able to run Skype 1.4.0.99 now!
Thanks,
Jörg

This seem to be the normal packages, not the xx-32bit ones.
However, some friendly soul pointed me to the factory distribution
(e.g. http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/x86_64/)
where I found some of the required packages. Alas, there is still one
missing: libsigc++2 seems to exist only as the normal x86_64 package,
I couldn't find the xx-32bit version anywhere.
Please file a bugreport in our bugzilla for libsigc++2 and assign it to
me (aj@xxxxxxxxxx) and I'll get this setup for FACTORY.
Out of curiosity, how are those xx-32bit versions built? Would that be
some command line option for "make", or something like that?
Via an rpm macro as part of building the i586 package.
Andreas
