actually, it was probably one of the smoothest/nicest upgrades ever.
MPlayer, as always, caused me some problem, but it was quickly resolved by
adding the packman.unixheads.com as an installation source, and then
installing MPlayer from there.
Perhaps you should try to delete all of the offending packages from your
system, and then just re-apply them from there appropriate installation
sources after the upgrade.
