I found the problem!
ACPI was having issues with my motherboard. I changed some settings in the cpufreq files as suggested by a log file and disabled the ACPI settings - it works fine!
Now i want to set up some network shares on my windows workgroup. I have the shares visible, but it wants usernames and passwords - which i dont understand what it wants!
I use samba, but I would hazzard a guess that it wants the windoz user username/password....
