You may want to check out the intel compiler which is freely available for linux platforms:

The download will likely take a while also but it's worth it.

I found the rpm at

but the download is going to take an hour (at least and we have a T1 line)
Does the commercial distro of 10.0 include fortran? And error: Failed dependencies: libgfortran.so.0()(64bit) is needed by R-base-2.2.0-1 libtcl8.4.so()(64bit) is needed by R-base-2.2.0-1 libtk8.4.so()(64bit) is needed by R-base-2.2.0-1
