When I tried to install Xilinx's ISE software (Linux version, probably 32-bit) on my 64-bit SuSE 9.3, I got the following error message regarding a missing library: /media/Xilinx_LIN1/xilsetup: error while loading shared libraries: libcommdlg44.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I looked for that library in the SuSE 9.3 DVD, the apt-get repositories, rpm sites, and even did a search on google, all with no luck. It seems to me that Xilinx has compiled their software in a Fedora/Red Hat environment. Does anybody know anything about the missing library? Has anybody gotten the Xilinx software to install on any version of SuSE? Xilinx (on the web at www.xilinx.com) is regarded as the world's top manufacturer of programmable logic (FPGAs, CPLDs, etc.). They and their chief rival, Altera (www.altera.com), began to offer their design environments on Linux a couple of years ago, attesting to the growing popularity of Linux. CF
