I am having the same messages/values with one gig of RAM.
With just KMail running it says that 92% of memory is in use.
(Zero swapped out.)
I also note that the processes listed under top are only
totalling to about 15% of memory (13.6% being X). Where
is the discrepancy between the 15% and the 92% ?
